Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. Village Point Turns 3 Years Old

This June, Village Point passed its third year in business. We’re thrilled to have been a part of so many special occasions, and to have served thousands of customers who’ve passed through our doors. We’re fast approaching 100 reviews with an average rating of 4.8 out of 5, a testament to our team, venue, and customers who’ve allowed us to be a part of their celebration. With this in mind, we would like to again extend our thanks to all of our guests, customers, and team.

What’s Happening With The Redevelopment?

Alongside our predominantly nighttime events business, we also have a daytime-focussed coworking space called “The Hub.” It’s a shared office space with Dedicated Desks and Hot Desks, ideal for freelancers, small businesses, and entrprenuers who need a flexible workspace with a sense of community. Since launching, we’ve watched our membership grow along with the coworking industry globally, and it’s started to become a core part of our business.

In 2018, we announced some upcoming changes to expand the coworking space element and introduce a new name for the business to better reflect what we’ve become (in full, “The Forum Coworking & Event Space”). While both of those things are still planned, we’ve recast our development schedule and will be phasing in both as part of a more gradual transition. The overwhelming response to the pre-launch marketing campaign culminated in a full waiting list for Hot Desk, Dedicated Desk, and Office memberships and has also allowed us to get an understanding of what coworking customers want, and right now that is more Dedicated Desks and Hot Desks along with a lounge-type breakout area.

So what to expect? We’ll first be first rolling out the expanded coworking space and business lounge area into our smaller space – The Lodge. This will be for our existing coworking members to use, test out, and provide feedback. Once we feel we’ve got the design and service elements right, we’ll be launching it to the wider public.

Village Point acquires license to conduct full wedding services, including ceremonies, civil partnerships.

Both events spaces can now be utilsed for ceremonies with The Lodge currently in high demand due to it’s ceremony-friendly interior.

Bookings are now being taken for 2022 with early payment discounts applied to all confirmed bookings prior to September.

Having recently celebrated our 3-year anniversary in business, we’ve also just hit another major milestone which we’re pleased to share today. Our team has been working hard over the past year to ensure we meet all the standards to become a fully certified venue to hold wedding ceremonies. A couple of weeks ago, we passed all the requirements and received our wedding licence, so we can now host complete weddings including ceremonies and civil partnerships, wedding breakfasts, and the evening celebrations.

With such a versatile space, this has opened up many new options for our wedding customers who can now host events from the morning right through to the early hours. For example, some of guests have already began planning to use our smaller space – The Lodge – for their more intimate ceremonies in the daytime, then moving across to larger Ballroom space for their evening celebration as more guests arrive. For guests with more attendees, we’ll be holding the ceremony in The Ballroom, then opening The Lodge as a secondary lounge space so guests can enjoy a quiet breakout area away from the entertainment during the evening.
